Brenda introduced the featured speaker at the recent Black History Month Breakfast, held February 19 at the Cass County Council on Aging in Cassopolis, Michigan.

She was chosen for this honor because Pastor Bill Bruneau (center) was former pastor at her Quaker church, Penn Friends Community Church at the corner of Penn and Quaker Streets; and additionally she is a board member of the Minority Coalition, featured above with Pastor Bruneau on the front page of the local Cassopolis newspaper that week. The Minority Coalition, sponsor of the annual Black History Month Breakfast, seeks to bring harmony between the races in Cass County, Michigan.
